Emerging Trends In Real Estate - United States and Canada 2016I recently ran across this highly informative report from PWC and the Urban Land Institute. I’ll admit, it’s a bit long (slightly more than 100 pages). However, it’s a fast read and the pay-off is definitely worthwhile.

One of the most noteworthy features of this report lies in the fact it reflects the views of a wide range of industry experts, including investors, fund managers, developers, property companies, lenders, brokers, advisers, and consultants. ULI and PwC researchers interviewed 404 individuals and survey responses were received from 1,465 individuals.

If nothing else, please take a look at the Table of Contents on Page 3. I think you’ll be immediately impressed by the nature and scope of the information contained in this report! Then, if you’d prefer to not read through the entire report, you can cherry pick the sections that most interest you.

Check it out if you have not yet seen it.) I’ve watched quite a few of Phil’s other videos and they all contain some very useful information. Here’s an outstanding video that I recently discovered. The title is “Kiss of Death when Selling a House.” However, the overall concept applies to any type of real estate sales transaction — including Commercial as well as Residential real estate. The video features Phil Pustejovsky, a well known real estate investor who is also a mentor and coach for some of the most successful real estate investors in North America. I definitely recommend that you watch this video. It will be time very well spent.

Here’s more good news about the greater Chattanooga real estate market. I encourage you to read this article published by the Chattanooga Times Free Press on August 21, 2015.

Americans stepped up their home-buying for a third straight month in July, as sales accelerated to the strongest pace in eight years.

The National Association of Realtors said Thursday that sales of existing homes rose 2 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.59 million, the fastest rate since February 2007. Sales have jumped 9.6 percent over the past 12 months, while the number of listings has declined 4.7 percent.

In Chattanooga, home sales also rose in July by 2.3 percent from year-ago levels to 785 homes, even while the number of houses for sale plunged by 33.4 percent to 4,408, or 2,214 fewer than in July 2014. The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors said home sales in the first seven months of 2015 were up 12.8 percent to 5,054 — the best year since before the Great Recession hit the market.
